Vocational training and other educational organizations operate Brownfields Job Training Programs to recruit and train unemployed and underemployed individuals with the skills needed to secure long-term employment in the environmental field.
Program graduates assist in the cleanup and revitalization of environmentally challenged properties in their communities.

EPA provides funding in support of community-based Brownfields Job Training Programs. A special emphasis is placed on supporting Job Training programs in historically overburdened and underserved communities, including in rural and tribal settings.
